A former Roman Catholic priest, now a reformed minister, has written a critique of Evangelicalism which cuts to the heart of the matter. I recommend that all read Richard Bennett's article, The Mindset of Catholicism Permeating Evangelicalism.
Martyred for the Gospel
The burning of Tharchbishop of Cant. D. Tho. Cranmer in the town dich at Oxford, with his hand first thrust into the fyre, wherwith he subscribed before. [Click on the picture to see Cranmer's last words.]
Collect of the Day
LORD God, who seest that we put not our trust in any thing that we do; Mercifully grant that by thy power we may be defended against all adversity; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

You will not want to miss this worship service from Moody Bible Church. Irwin Lutzer is a biblical preacher and faithful to the text of Holy Scripture.
Death to Self-Reliance
The Saga Continues: The Mode of Real Presence?
Victor Novak has written a lengthy article for VirtueOnline where he directly contradicts the Declaration of Principles of the founding fathers of the Reformed Episcopal Church and even dares to say that Calvin's view of the mode of "real presence" is essentially "high Lutheran," which cannot be further from the truth. Please read Novak's article, CLASSICAL ANGLICANISM AND THE REAL PRESENCE OF CHRIST IN THE SACRAMENT OF HOLY COMMUNION, and my comments in response to it below. Judge for yourself. Also, please read carefully the lengthy quote I made from Cranmer there regarding the "figurative" use of the terms "body" and "blood" for the bread and wine.
Sincerely in Christ,
Charlie
