The Heritage Anglican Network

I have been in contact by e-mail with another Reformed and Evangelical and confessing Anglican named Robin G. Jordan. The Reverend Jordan has a blog for dialogue and discussion among likeminded Reformed and Evangelical Anglicans at The Heritage Anglican Network. Rev. Jordan has also published articles at the Virtue Online website. While I am probably more separatistic than Rev. Jordan, I would highly recommend the discussion and dialogue. If a new province is formed, I share Rev. Jordan's concerns that it will simply be another version of the old Episcopal Church without the out and out liberalism. Eventually, however, any semi-pelagian and man-centered theology will end up back in theological liberalism and philosophical relativism.

Peace,

Charlie

Dear Big Brother Charlie,

Thanks for your message. Yes, I have heard about Perry Robinson. Actually I frequent his blog, as I have an interest in Eastern Orthodoxy. It's quite a pleasant surprise that you were in contact with him. Sounds like a small world! Perry has not updated his blog (I'm worse!) yet so I don't know if he has gotten a proper job or not. But I will keep you in my prayers!

Dear Brother Charlie,

I have just came back from reading your comment over at Robin's blog. I agree with you completely. There can be no common cause with the Ritualists. They are *anti*-Anglicans!

Jason, I hope your interest in Eastern Orthodoxy is merely for information. Perry Robinson is notorious for trying to convert Evangelicals and Anglicans to the heresies of the Eastern Church. The Eastern Orthodox view is just as bad as Roman Catholicism. It is semi-pelagian and has a totally wrong view of the doctrine of sin. They believe that the whole point of the atonement is deification (i.e. sanctification) and regaining immortality. They also believe that doing good works contributes something to your salvation. They don't even use the word "justification" even though it is thoroughly biblical and Pauline.

I know of many who have been deceived by the allure of a unified church. However, in the case of Eastern Orthodoxy it is an illusion. There is no real unity in the East just as there is no real unity in the Western Roman Catholic Church. And, the 39 Articles says that those churches are heretical.

Please take care,

Charlie
