George Conger reports that the Westboro Baptist Church (Primitive Baptists and Calvinists) protested the consecration of the new Episcopal Bishop in Los Angeles, Mary Glasspool, an openly lesbian woman.
While you might question the rhetoric of the Westboro Baptist Church, which uses the "God hates fags" tag line, theologically they are absolutely right. God does hate homosexuals and everyone else who is reprobate and unrepentant (John 3:17-18, 36; Ephesians 2:1-3; Romans 9:13). Everyone who refuses to submit to Jesus Christ as Lord is under God's wrath. At least Westboro is not afraid to speak the truth. Why are not more Reformed churches doing this? Maybe because they are afraid of public opinion or they have overly emphasized "common grace" to the point of becoming semi-Arminian?
