Further Erosion of Biblical Authority in the Church of England: EV News :: Bishops agree final text for women bishops legislation

Although the "slippery slope" is considered a logical fallacy, one must recognize that the agenda of theological liberals is to use whatever propaganda and tactics they can to undermine the authority of Scripture as the final authority.  Sola Scriptura is one of the five solas of the Protestant Reformation.  In inevitably when women are ordained as deacons the next step is the priesthood and finally consecration as bishops.  Furthermore, when the line is crossed in violation of the scriptural prohibition of women as church leaders, teachers, and pastors it is only a short step from there to the ordination of homosexuals.

In fact, churches that accept homosexuals into membership without any call for repentance from that lifestyle are inviting a grassroots undermining of their congregations, denominations and communions.  Congregations which do not utilize catechism and sound teaching of God's moral law are simply inviting the propaganda of the secular media to indoctrinate their members rather than the church doing its job by instructing members of the church in the whole teaching of the Bible from cover to cover.

And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence. (1 Timothy 2:12 NKJ)

Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says. (1 Corinthians 14:34 NKJ)

A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach; (1 Timothy 3:2 NKJ)

For this reason I left you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are lacking, and appoint elders in every city as I commanded you-- 6 if a man is blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of dissipation or insubordination. (Titus 1:5-6 NKJ)
