- A nonprofit group called the White House Project, which claims to be trying to advance women into leadership positions regardless of political affiliation, may turn out to be a prominent player in paving the way for a Hillary presidency.
Regardless of political affiliation? This is amazing since not one of the members of the White House Project is a conservative or a Republican. The roll call of members includes Walter Mondale, Geraldine Ferarro, Ariana Huffington (formerly a conservative Republican who switched sides), and democratic political strategists Donna Brazile and Lisa Caputo. I have to wonder what political connections there are between ABC insiders and these democrats involved with the White House Project?
It is high time that conservatives concerned about traditional family values and traditional religious values should utilize the same sort of tactics in promoting their own political agenda. Wealthy conservatives should be buying out media outlets like newspaper, television, cable, and internet news services so that the Judeo-Christian worldview can be promoted in the mainstream. If liberals can use such means to corrupt our society, why cannot Christians and other social conservatives utilize the same methods to promote human rights, traditional values, and moral issues from a Christian perspective?
While there are some conservative voices in networks like Fox News, some of these voices are too radically rightwing on social problems like poverty, unemployment, crime, and environmental issues. I long for the day when we can see a political party that is not into social engineering. I for one oppose gay/lesbian marriage or civil partnerships because such propositions serve to reward those who are in blatant violation of God's law and natural law. The U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights have never been interpreted to allow such gross immorality in the past and we are under no obligation to go along with propaganda today which poses as "science." I am reminded of the verse in the Bible that says,
- 1 Timothy 6:20 (NIV)20 Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to your care. Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge, ...
Christians are essentially in a quandary. If we vote for the left, we are supporting the poor, the oppressed and social programs that will alleviate some of the problems of the lower classes--all valid concerns for Christians who are commanded by their Lord to love their neighbor. However, the same party which advocates caring for the poor also encourages abortions (including mid-term and late-term abortions), redefining the traditional family by accepting homosexual marriage or civil partnerships, easy divorce, and excessively harsh laws against men disguised as "domestic violence" laws and "child support" laws.
On the other hand, the conservative party is soft on the environment and cares little for the poor. While the conservative party is amenable for the most part to social morality concerns of middle class American Christianity, it is blind to the more pressing concerns of inner city poverty and rural poverty, equal opportunity, and civil rights issues. The political right is getting weaker on issues like abortion and gay rights, however, so this political landscape might change. When it does conservative Christians may have no other choice except to form their own third political party that will unite the traditional values element with the social concerns of those who take seriously the Lord's command to care for the poor, the widow and orphan, and to visit those in prison (See Matthew 25).
Voting for theological and political liberals is not the answer, despite the call of so-called "neutral" Evangelicals not to allow "one issue" to decide how one will vote. This might be true but I think the issue of murdering innocent children takes precedence over poverty, as bad as that problem is. Until the political left comes clean every conscientious Christian should vote for conservatives who oppose Supreme Court appointees who legislate from the bench.
If conservative Christians want to keep winning the culture war, they are going to have to address the concerns of those on the left who have genuine concerns for the poor, racial issues, and the environment. If those on the left want to make legitimate political gains, they will have to stop trying to force Christians to accept abortion and gay rights against the teaching of the Holy Scriptures.
Moreover, for conservatives to battle the political left they are going to have to compromise on the social issues that divide the two parties. The conservative party needs to stop talking about a compassionate conservatism and start doing something practical to help the poor and minorities. But in the meantime, conservatives need to be doing more to get their message out through the mainstream media and that means getting control of major television networks and other sources of information, just as the liberal left is doing.
I for one, am sick of the liberal flood of propaganda which totally disrespects family values and traditional moral values as taught by the traditional Christian worldview. Without Christianity the western civilized world as we know it would not exist in the first place. The sooner the radical left realizes that the better.
In my opinion, Hillary Clinton would be like electing the devil's wife to the White House. She hates traditional Christianity with a passion and has no respect for God or for the morality taught in Holy Scripture. If any woman should be elected to the White House, it should be Condoleeza Rice. I would vote for Condoleeza Rice in a heart beat if she were nominated by the Republican Party. In fact, if Hillary Clinton makes the Democratic nomination, the best person to run against her would be Condoleeza Rice. What a devastating blow that would be to the liberal left! A conservative, Christian, and black woman defeating their great white lesbian hope.
