That's pretty annoying. There's a church in my neck of the woods that split over the issue a few years ago, but in my humble opinion, the wrong faction left in the split. But, on the bright side, two of our elders are the result of that issue, and I hear they're very careful on the issue of justification when interviewing incoming members.
Yes, but it's more than annoying. It's a sign that the denomination is going in the liberal direction. The same sort of thing happened when the PCUSA starting going liberal.
