A pastor friend of mine needs prayer. He is an ordained minister in a liberal mainline denomination and the members of his small congregation want to fire him and become a mission church because the membership has dwindled to very low numbers.
Part of the reason for that is the liberal theology of the denomination as a whole. The other reason is that the majority of church members in the congregation have little to no knowledge of the Bible, despite the efforts of the pastor over the past few years to preach and teach the Scriptures, the whole counsel of God. Although I have a few serious disagreements with the pastor, he is an Evangelical, and he does profess to be a 4.5 point Calvinist.
Due to privacy I will not mention the pastor's name. But please pray that God will turn this situation around and bring Bible believing Christians into the congregation. He is an Anglican. That's all I can say.
Sincerely in Christ,
Charlie

Charlie,
I've prayed for this pastor friend. May the Lord sustain him and grant him further wisdom.
It's difficult trying to be a faithful Calvinist Anglican whilst being surrounded by liberals, Arminians, and semi-papists. I know.
Thank-you for your prayers, brother. The effectual and fervent prayers of a righteous man availeth much. Of course, our righteousness is by faith, not by the merits of our good works.
May God's peace be with you always,
Charlie
