Question 20: A Short Catechism for Young Churchmen

Q. (20) Was the Virgin Mary, or any of the Apostles or Prophets free from sin?

A. No. "Christ alone was without sin. All we the rest offend in many things, and if we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us."-(Art. XV; Luke 1:47-48; 1 John 1:8.).
