It is truly sad that the new media does not get it that Christianity is not liberal, communist, socialist, or pro-gay/lesbian/transgender. On the CBS News this morning it was implied that Phil Robertson is not only a "homophobe" but is also a "racist" since the reporter said that Robertson had made disparaging remarks about "African Americans." So when there is a legitimate disagreement about moral values as taught by the Bible and moral values as taught by progressives, liberals, and socialists, the tactic of the left is to use the abusive ad hominem fallacy and paint conservative Christians with the broad brush of being inherently racist and homophobic. If being opposed to sexual immorality makes me a racist and a homophobe, then so be it. I gladly accept the scandal of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 1:23).
The liberal left thinks that Christians ought to obey the government and the politically correct propaganda of the left. They should read the Bible and understand that Christians ought to obey God rather than men:
Acts 5:29
King James Version (KJV)
29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
The context here is civil disobedience. The civil authorities forbade the apostles to preach the Gospel but they disobeyed because Scripture has more authority than any government on earth. The Christian is obligated to obey the Gospel, not men. (Romans 10:16). If the liberals succeed in outlawing the biblical prohibition against homosexuality, then Christians are obligated to continue to preach and teach against this violation of the seventh commandment. The freedom of religion is a basic human right but that right is being eroded every day by the progressive and socialist left. The relentless pressure to compromise the law of God is constant in the media. Christians everywhere should resist the temptation to relativize Scripture and instead be willing to suffer for the cause of Christ.
Scriptures against homosexuality include: Leviticus 18:22, 27; Romans 1:26-28; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11; Exodus 20:14. Basically the prohibition against adultery is a deductive proposition that excludes all sexual immorality, not just cheating on one's wife or husband. It would exclude homosexuality, fornication, adultery, bestiality, transgenderism, etc., et. al.
Call me whatever abusive names you like but I will obey the inspired and inerrant Word of God in the Scriptures, not the liberal left. Here I stand. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21; 2 Timothy 2:15).

Well done, well written. You've truly hit the nail on the head.
I'm so tired of true Christian beliefs and values being considered as everything from "inappropriate" to "unlawful" to "inhumane" to "hateful"
Best regards

For the record, I'm not a "good" man. There is none good but God. But I am a sinner sanctified by the atonement of Christ.
On the other hand, grace is not a license to sin nor does it mean we should condone lawlessness.
So He said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments." (Matthew 19:17 NKJ)
Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. (1 John 3:4 NKJ)
