Collect of the Day

The Second Sunday in Lent.

The Collect

ALMIGHTY God, who seest that we have no power of ourselves to help ourselves; Keep us both outwardly in our bodies, and inwardly in our souls; that we may be defended from all adversities which may happen to the body, and from all evil thoughts which may assault and hurt the soul; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Collect from the First Day of Lent is to be read every day in Lent after the Collect appointed for the Day.

Mass Exodus from ECUSA?

It appears that more and more conservatives will be leaving the mainline Episcopal Church USA as a result of the consecration of practicing homosexual, Gene Robinson, as a bishop in the diocese of New Hampshire.

I pray that more and more orthodox and conservative Anglicans will take a stand against ECUSA by leaving and shaking the dust off their feet. Maybe when most of their churches have to close their doors ECUSA will get the message? Thank God for Father Kent Litchfield in Elizabethtown, Kentucky (http://www.wave3.com/global/story.asp?s=3862947). May the grace of God be with you!
