Collect of the Day

The Second Sunday in Lent.

The Collect

ALMIGHTY God, who seest that we have no power of ourselves to help ourselves; Keep us both outwardly in our bodies, and inwardly in our souls; that we may be defended from all adversities which may happen to the body, and from all evil thoughts which may assault and hurt the soul; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Collect from the First Day of Lent is to be read every day in Lent after the Collect appointed for the Day.

ABC in Australia: Special on Peter Akinola

I really love how the liberal media portrays the conservatives as those who are "tearing the Anglican Communion apart." It is totally ridiculous. Really the ones who are tearing the Anglican Communion apart are the liberals and the Anglo-Catholics. Click on ABC Compass to see the video.

In particular pay close attention to the comments of Bishop Tom Wright who "claims" to be an "evangelical" yet he is bashing the global south and Peter Jensen in Sydney. Go to minute mark 37 minutes and compare Akinola with Wright. Who is standing for truth? If this does not expose Tom Wright as a false prophet, I don't know what else could convince you!
