One has to wonder why people think John Piper is something great when he clearly does not stay with Scripture alone as the final authority? When subjectivism rules theology, sola scriptura goes out the window. This sermon could be preached in any Pentecostal/Neo-Pentecostal/Charismatic church. Sounds like tons of sermons I heard back then.
Unfortunately, Piper also compromises in the area of justification by faith alone and thinks that sanctification is what constitutes our justification and vindication in the future and coming judgment.
I'm worried now. I am going to a Gospel Coalition conference called "Gospel Growth/People Growth" in Chicago this week.
