Tom Shales: Hypocrite Extraordinare

Tim Graham critiques Tom Shales attack against Brit Hume in his article, "Tom Shales Sneers at Brit Hume's Christian Remarks as Already 'Most Ridiculous of the Year'". I'm constantly amazed that the wicked claim the freedom of speech and freedom of the press when it suits them but when Christians exercise the same rights they are told they should shut up and keep it to themselves. Liberals, homosexuals, atheists and various other nefarious individuals are constantly proselytizing for their favorite sins, causes, and agendas. Yet Christians, who are merely seeking to promote Christian love, charity and human dignity are told that they cannot say anything. Apparently it's OK to say, "Merry F___ing Christmas," but not "Jesus loves you and has a wonderful message of life for you." The hypocrisy of those who promote pornography--which devalues women as merely sex objects to be humiliated and used and abused--and other immoralities and vices which devalue and undermine basic human dignity is obvious. The wicked delight in doing evil, blaspheming God, and hating those who love Jesus Christ. What else is new?

What Christians do not realize is that unless we stand for what is right and fight for the freedoms guaranteed in the United States Constitution--freedoms like it is self-evident that "all men are created equal"--we may soon lose our freedom of speech, freedom of press, freedom of religion and basic human rights. If the remarks of Bill Maher are any indication, the liberal left wants the government to regulate religion and to forcefully shut up the religious conservatives and Christians in our nation. May God never allow such a thing to happen.

Nothing new under the sun since the old Roman times. The only difference is that they do not throw us to lions. For now.
