Collect of the Day

The Collect.

The First day of Lent
Commonly called Ash-Wednesday.

The Collect.

ALMIGHTY and everlasting God, who hatest nothing that thou hast made and dost forgive the sins of all them that are penitent; Create and make in us new and contrite hearts, that we, worthily lamenting our sins, and acknowledging our wretchedness, may obtain of thee, the God of all mercy, perfect remission and forgiveness; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Carl Trueman Discusses Historical Methodology - ReformedForum.org

Quote of the Day from the audio: Trueman: "Luther spoke German and his German is still more comprehensible than Van Til."

Response: Camden Bucey: "I knew that was coming."

About 4/5s into the discussion.

Seems to me that Trueman is overly optimistic about objectivity in this discussion.
