The First day of Lent
Commonly called Ash-Wednesday.

The Collect.

ALMIGHTY and everlasting God, who hatest nothing that thou hast made and dost forgive the sins of all them that are penitent; Create and make in us new and contrite hearts, that we, worthily lamenting our sins, and acknowledging our wretchedness, may obtain of thee, the God of all mercy, perfect remission and forgiveness; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Union with Christ - ReformedForum.org

UPDATE: Dr. Michael Horton is scheduled to respond to Dr. Lane G. Tipton regarding this interview in a forthcoming episode of Christ the Center.
I found this assertion to be particularly troubling as it pretty much gives away the store to the Papists and the semi-pelagians:
. . . In this milestone episode, we treat several dimensions of the Reformed discussion of union with Christ including Lutheranism, definitive sanctification, and the incorporation of transformative aspects into justification. Join us for this memorable and lively discussion.
Scroll down and read the comments on this page after you hear the discussion. You'll find several pointed objections to Lane Tipton's view of union with Christ. Also, see my other post at Sanctification. Click here to listen to Lane Tipton's discussion of union with Christ: Union with Christ - ReformedForum.org
