Prayer Request

I just learned that my nephew, Neil (Bubba) Ray, Jr., committed suicide on Monday or Tuesday.  Please pray for the family as everyone is grieving.  Bubba was only 27 years old and had a short and troubled life.  He will be greatly missed.  He was very much loved.

I read the Morning and Evening Prayer service from the 1662 Book of Common Prayer with Bubba a few months ago.  I tried to share the law and the Gospel with him as best I knew how.  My only comfort is knowing that God's sovereign will has been carried out and that Jesus died for all the sins of God's elect.  I can only hope and pray that Bubba was one of God's elect.  May God have mercy and grant us the comfort to know that even this sin is not unforgivable.  Jesus died for all the sins of God's elect.

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. 3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever. (Psalm 23:1-6 NKJ)

Thank-you, Hudson. It was a terrible disappointment but God is sovereign over even this. Isaiah 14:24
