This is why I don't recommend joining the Southern Baptist Convention even if the local congregation is Calvinist. There is a long standing hostility of Southern Baptists to recognize and own their original heritage as Calvinists. Even Primitive Baptists are now denying that their doctrines are Calvinist. Go figure. 

 At any rate, Arminianism is a gross error and heresy. If Calvinists are not welcome in the Arminian denomination called the Southern Baptist Convention, it is because the Southern Baptist Convention, like most Evangelical denominations today, is an apostate denomination. Come out from among them and be ye separate saith the Lord. (2 Corinthians 6:17).
