Richard Mourdock: Under Attack by Atheists for Saying God Gives Life After a Rape

Is God sovereign over life and death or isn't He?  God is also in control of even evil acts of men.  He is not the direct cause of the acts of evil men since God is not the author of sin.  But God does have control over evil and immoral acts by secondary means.  (Isaiah 45:7; Amos 3:6; Romans 1:18-32; 1 Peter 2:8).  God gives life and God takes it away.  (Job 1:21-22).  Abortionists do not acknowledge God's sovereignty so it should not be surprising that the liberal left wishes to usurp God's authority over life and death and to violate the basic God given right to life.

A Republican candidate is under attack by the godless leftists for daring to say that God is sovereign over the giving of the gift of life.  Why should we be surprised?
