I sent the following open letter to Mr. David Virtue, owner of the Virtue Online news service. Mr. Virtue "claims" to be an Evangelical but he is in open fellowship with Anglo-Catholics and high church Arminians both of which openly and publicly deny the doctrines of sovereign grace and the final authority of Holy Scripture. To be sure the Anglo-Catholics and Tractarians openly deny all five of the solas of the Protestant Reformation.

I will
never support your ministry since I believe that so-called "orthodox"
Anglo-Catholicism is a heresy of the same order or worse than the
Federal Vision. The English Reformers would never have practiced
sacerdotalism nor would they have compromised on the doctrine of
justification by faith ALONE. Sola fide! Scripture alone is the final
authority. J.I. Packer, as solid as his Calvinism is, is not Reformed.
I say that for the simple reason that he thinks heretics don't need to
teach the Reformed doctrines or believe the Gospel. Rome officially
condemned the Gospel at the Council of Trent and the Anglo-Catholics are
in full agreement with Rome and the Tractarian heresy of the 19th
century.
As far as I'm concerned, you might as well either go liberal or join up with Rome. You are certainly not a Protestant nor are you an Evangelical, at least not as those terms are defined during the Protestant Reformation.

Forgive the pun but "virtue" will only earn you a deeper place in hell. (Romans 6:23). The only virtue that has earned the salvation of the elect is the virtue of Christ. Calvinism IS the Gospel.
Sincerely yours,
Charlie J. Ray
