FOUR BLANDS OF ANGLICAN SPIRITUALITY

Dr. A.

Hey "bro," Why are we to suspect that your analysis is more accurate than Mr. Ray's?

You say you can "guarantee" an Anglo-Catholic contingent in heaven? Wow. You are so sure of yourself about who is a Christian and who is not. You must be superior to the rest of us.

Yet 1 Samuel 16:7 says, But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the LORD sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart."

You're either as arrogant as you accuse Charlie of being, or you're divine. You arrogate to yourself an ability that the word of God explicitly reserves for the Almighty alone: Looking into men's hearts.

You go further: you claim the power not only of looking into A-C's hearts, but the authority to judge them, as well! Wow. You are so sure of yourself about who is a Christian and who is not. You must be superior to the rest of us.

But the prophet said, The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? "I the LORD search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds." (Jeremiah 17:9f.)

Hallelujah! 'Tis Bruce Almighty!

Hugh
