Farewell Rowan Williams | Theological Theology

Mark me down as among the churlish. How could Mark Thompson wish an enemy of the Gospel well? What Thompson should do is pray for the conversion of that son of belial. Rowan Williams is deliberately "oblique" for the simple reason that he doesn't believe in absolute truth. The only absolute truth for that theologically illegitimate miscreant is that everything is relative. Sadly Evangelicals like Mark Thompson and Michael Horton agree with Williams more than disagree with him. After all, truth is analogical, is it not?

Unfortunately, the archbishop's replacement could be worse.
